Rev. John Han

Rev. John Han is a passionate, creative, and spiritual leader and disciple of Christ committed to the good news of Jesus Christ for the kingdom of God in the local church and the community.  He casts the vision for the church and sets the overall direction for church programs. He provides leadership for and actively participates in worship, preaching, pastoral care, discipleship, evangelism, and mission for the transformative life of members.

A native of South Korea, John studied Engineering and Physics. He moved to the United States in 2005 to begin seminary. He studied for Master of Divinity in Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX for 3 years and transferred to Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University. John completed his Master of Divinity at Brite in fall, 2011. He became an ordained elder with the Central Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church in 2016. He has been appointed as the pastor of First Mesquite since July, 2025. 

John and his wife, Sunny, have been married since 2002. They have one child: Kristina.
